Uke 13: Hello to Elder Pfeifer!

HALLO ALLE SAMMEN!

This week was super awesome cuz i got my new companion! Elder Pfeifer comes from Connecticut, and has been to a semester or 2 at BYU before the mish. He has been in Norway since April and has served in Frederikstad and Sandvika. Both of those are big city areas near Oslo so Arendal is a big adventure for him, being a missionary in a small town with a little branch where everyone talks with a Sørlansk dialect. He is an awesome guy and a great missionary! We are getting along really well so far and having a lot of fun togther. He and I are really alike. This is gonna be a super fun transfer.

On moves day he had to take the train from Oslo to Kristiansand, and we were to take a bus back to Arendal later. When he arrived, one of the Kristiansand elders, Elder Martineau, and I were there to pick him up. Earlier that day we found some dumb looking glasses for really cheap so we decided i should wear them and trick my new comp into thinking i really wear them all the time. So i wore those dumb looking fake glasses for two days before i came clean about it haha. I will attach a picture of us right after his arrival with me wearing those glasses.

Last p-day was really fun because we got to spend the day with the district in Kristiansand and find out about moves. No cool crazy p-day adventures this time (unless you count dungeons and dragons) but it was fun cuz we have a party district.

For about a month before Christmas, every potential investigator we found contacting or banking said they would be busy until after New Year. So we had a list of 10-15 people who told us they would be interested to meet in January. So this week we have an appointment almost every day with a new potential so we are off to a good start for missionary work!

One funny story. Its funnier in Norwegian, so sorry. You can translate it if you want. New years eve in Norway is the same as America. There are fireworks and parties and people get drunk. One of our potential investigators (a girl in her early 20s who shall remain unnamed) called us on new years eve, obviously drunk, and said the following. "Jeg vil bli frelst! *lots of giggling* Vil dere komme og frelse meg??". We replied by saying we will call you back in a few days and see how we can help you with that.

Other that that, not too much crazy stuff happened. We have mostly just been getting back in the rhythm of things after transfers and Christmas and New years. We have been keeping really busy and it has been awesome with Elder Pfeifer, hes a total bro.
